📘 Day 13: Table Tools (Merge, Split, Sort) in MS Word

 

🔹 Introduction

Jab aap table bana lete hain, tab kabhi-kabhi cells ko jodna (merge), todna (split) ya data ko A-Z me arrange karna padta hai.

Ye sab options aapko Microsoft Word ke Table Tools → Layout Tab me milte hain.


1️⃣ Merge Cells (Cells Ko Jodna)

Merge Cells ka use do ya zyada cells ko mila kar ek cell banane ke liye hota hai.

Example:

Timetable me ek subject ko 2 columns me dikhana ho.


Merge Kaise Karein?

  1. Jitne cells merge karne hain unhe select karein

  2. Table Tools → Layout Tab par jayein

  3. Merge Cells option par click karein

Selected cells ek ban jayenge ✅


2️⃣ Split Cells (Cell Ko Todna)

Agar ek cell ko multiple parts me divide karna ho to Split Cells use hota hai.


Split Kaise Karein?

  1. Cell select karein

  2. Layout Tab → Split Cells par click karein

  3. Rows aur Columns ki number enter karein

  4. OK click karein

Cell multiple parts me divide ho jayega.


3️⃣ Split Table

Agar ek table ko do tables me todna ho:

  1. Jahan se split karna hai wahan cursor rakhein

  2. Layout Tab → Split Table par click karein

Table do parts me divide ho jayega.


4️⃣ Sort (Data Arrange Karna)

Sort ka use data ko A-Z, Z-A ya numbers ke hisaab se arrange karne ke liye hota hai.


Sort Kaise Karein?

  1. Table select karein

  2. Layout Tab → Sort option par click karein

  3. Column choose karein

  4. Ascending (A-Z) ya Descending (Z-A) select karein

  5. OK click karein

Data automatically arrange ho jayega.


📌 Important Tips

✔ Header row ko merge karte waqt carefully select karein
✔ Split karte waqt sahi row/column number enter karein
✔ Sort karne se pehle header row ko mark karein
✔ Data sorting marksheet aur report me useful hota hai

  1. 4×4 ka table banayein

  2. First row ke 2 cells merge karein

  3. Ek cell ko 2 parts me split karein

  4. Table ka data A-Z me sort karein
